Level C1 corresponds to proficient users of the language, i.e. those able to perform complex tasks related to work and study. It is important to bear in mind that the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFRL) is the system that defines and explains the different levels of oral and written expression and comprehension for languages such as English
C1 LEVEL SKILLS
What language competences characterise an A2 level learner in English? According to the CEFR, the learner:
- Can understand a wide range of more demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning in them.
- Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for the right expression.
- Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes. They can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing correct use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
STEP-BY-STEP CURRICULUM C1 ADVANCED LEVEL
The advanced curriculum is broken up into two courses (C1.1 and C1.2) of 72 double lessons each for a total of 144 academic hours.

ESL Student Management System
All Rhenus Language Academy students get access to our ESL Student Management System to complete Homework Assignments, review Lesson Summaries and track their Progress. Our ESL Student Management System can be accessed from any connected device including laptops, smartphones and tablets.
